Faith

faith - we receive a gift from Holy Spirit
faith - a gift we wrestle to define

yet we still act
we still have agency
we still live into our faith,
undefinable as it may be

and we strive to know,
to grasp, to hold,
to share,
to grow deeper into this
gift of faith

but we will fail
and even when faith is
deep as a pie tin
it is enough
to stand in the
gift of the
waters of baptism
to receive "Given and Shed"
bread and wine,
body and blood.
