it's the kind of snow that
doesn't really stick
it's still on the ground
on the sidewalks
but to shovel would be futile
it won't permit itself to be picked up
but it's easy to push around
and you almost don't need to scrape car windows
just start driving
and the windows blow clean
but easy-to-clean snow
brings with it bitter cold
trying to pay attention to what's going on in the world around me
